Thousands of public receivers, a shared database of proven propagation paths, the Sun's effect on the ionosphere, and one software-defined radio in Great Falls, Montana that the engine measures itself — drawn on the same world, hour by hour, with every number traced to its source.

Every radio signal that reaches a receiver carries a record of the path it took: how high the ionosphere was, whether the Sun was up along the way, how disturbed Earth's magnetic field is. Read enough paths at once and the planet's radio environment becomes a sensor — for space weather, for thunderstorms, for the day/night line sweeping across the globe. OrangeKraken Radio reads that sensor in public, from open sources, and freezes its own forecasts so they can be graded.
What you'll see: A live, honest picture of the ionosphere built from what receivers actually heard, forecasts that beat climatology on a graded record, and a receiver in Montana that turns out to read the Earth a little better each day.
